The holidays would not be complete without an ice rink and skates, but this year the San Jose Holiday Parade and NBC Bay Area bring something better to San José…one of the most legendary figure skaters, Olympic Gold Medalist and Bay Area Native, Kristi Yamaguchi! Kristi will serve as Honorary Grand Marshal for the 2009 San Jose Holiday Parade, as she and her family come home for the Holidays and join us in celebrating Adventures in Toyland. Kristi joins the parade as part of the NBC Bay Area contingent as they salute the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver. This special Olympian has topped the International Figure Skating magazine's annual "25 Most Influential Names in Figure Skating" list several times, becoming inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame and receiving the prestigious Thurman Munson Award are just a few of the many awards and accomplishments to Kristi Yamaguchi’s name.
